Alpharetta is located approximately 15 miles north of Atlanta. It is accessed by Georgia 400, otherwise known as the Atlanta Autobahn. Alpharetta is also the beginning of the technology corridor of Atlanta. Incredible growth has taken place over the years and the population now stands at 44,000. 10,000 more than the 2000 census. Alpharetta is home to more restaurants than one could possibly take in for breakfast, lunch, and dinner for a year. High end cars, shopping, and real estate round out this wealthy northern suburb.
While the average single family home is $400,000 plus, condos and townhomes average just under $200,000. Schools are among the state's best and most sought after, which continue to drive property values. Alpharetta, and it's neighbor Roswell to the west, are to be considered if you are looking for a home in north Fulton County.
